Music Bar Point (5.0) When it comes to being a the best bar in Chania's inner harbour, one place has the attributes that puts it heads and tails above the rest. Music Bar Point has the location, service and style that would put it in the running as a candidate for one of the best bars in Europe. This is a bar you go to when you're looking for a cool bar to go to.
Taverna Monastiri (4.5) Set on one of the most picturesque curves of Chania's Venetian harbour, this taverna doesn't just rely on it's location to attract diners, drinkers and visitors. The food here is delicious and the wine is chosen by a trained and skilled sommelier. What more could you ask for from a Cretan taverna? A better wait staff perhaps. But that's nothing once you get your meal.
The Well of the Turk (4.0)
If it's a creatively delicious mixture of Mediterranean and middle eastern food, combined with a sweetly quaint decor and relaxing music you're looking for, then is for you. . . once you find it. Hidden away in Splantzia, or the Turkish Quarter of Chania, this restaurant is for people who like creatively presented entrées and meals with a savory Middle Eastern flair. Top it all off with frequent live music and a great bar, and it's a great place to spend the early evening.
Konaki (4.0)
I'm not sure what the first restaurant established in Chania was, but if it was anything like people ate there and were generally pleased. The service is good -- almost too good -- for a Cretan restaurant. The food is good and the portions are huge. The atmosphere is outcome-based, where the desired outcome is "customer with a full stomach and happy disposition leaves our restaurant after paying for his or her meal." No irregularities here: just good food, good service and a safe place to take the wife/husband and kids for a bite to eat on your vacation to Chania.
