Losing weight properly

Online slimming club – Weight loss product and treatment, hidden calories in food and drinks

losing weight is easier then you think. It’s about having the correct attitude before you start. The main thing to remember before you make the change is, ‘Its only food’

When you stop eating pastries; cakes, burgers, sausages, chips, cream etc, you will crave for them and feel deprived. Because of the sugars and how they taste, food that is bad for your health “tastes good”. The most commonly used phrase by people wanting to lose weight is. “Everything that tastes good is bad for you” The meaning of this sentence will change over time.

Hard but true: Eating foods that have very high fat content, like the mentioned above. Is no different then smoking. You are killing your body. Just in a slightly different way.

The governments in England and America, plus many other countries around the world, have banned or are banning smoking in public places. Large amounts of money have been put into advents and campaigns encouraging the human race to quit smoking.

There are many advents about quitting smoking; maybe there should be adverts about giving up burgers and chips. They are both have severe health risks.

Losing weight is about a lifestyle change. There are thousands and thousands of diets available which allow you to lose weight, but many prevent you from putting the pounds back on. The correct formula to losing weight is simply not to diet, but to change what you eat. Remember you can eat as much fruit and vegetables as you like. Fill up on good foods.

Do not starve yourself. If you are feeling absolutely starving then you are doing something wrong. When you were young your parents always said, ´do not to snack between meals´ they were so wrong. This is the key, eat little and often.

Hidden calories in food and drinks. Make sure you have a good calorie counting book. This will help you understand where you have been going wrong in the past. Keep your eyes open at all times for the hidden calories in food and drinks, and when you are cooking. For example; bread, soft drinks, dressings on salads, alcohol, butter, oil.

Weight loss product and treatment.

Another major factor to successfully losing weight is to have a ´weight goal´ so you have a figure to work towards, and to join an online slimming club. They will give you encouragement, motivation and drive that’s needed to succeed.

Do weigh yourself at regular intervals as this will show you your progress and it is very rewarding watching the numbers going down.

You don’t need to join a local diet club and have the embarrassing public weigh in. Although it is very important that someone else knows your weight progress. As this simply step will keep you motivated to succeed.

Start today not tomorrow. Remember, ´if you slip up, don’t give up´

Losing weight properly, and not having saggy skin?
I’m quite big for my age.
    I’m 12 and a half stone. And I’m 17. And I’m 5′7.
    I fit into a size 14 or 16 ( Which I HATE! )

Anyway, I am wondering, besides eating well and avoiding junk, what exercies I should do so that when weight starts coming off me, I don’t have a load of gross saggy skin.

I want to be nice and toned and muscly and strong.

    Thanks my fellow yahoo-ers!

You wont have saggy skin however you lose weight. You are only a teeny tiny bit overweight and young so your skin will be fine.

The ONLY way to lose weight properly is to cut down your calorie intake, exercise and aim to lose ONLY 1-2 lbs per week. Do not crash diet. Do not starve yourself. Do not take slimming pills. Do not exercise too much.

If you have any money, a stepper such as the Lateral Thigh Trainer (google it) is brilliant. You can put it in your bedroom and watch TV whilst you exercise. Just half an hour a day will help. Trampettes are also good.

What you need to do is concentrate on cardio until you reach your desired weight – THEN concentrate on building muscle later. If you do weight training at your current weight, your fat will turn to muscle, which will make you bulkier than you wish to be.

A great website which has really helped me understand weight loss is http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/loseweight/loseweight.html Read the whole article (a few times over if you need to!) and this WILL work for you.

It can be tedious and boring writing down what you eat every day – but it’s the only proper way to do it. Not only will it help you keep track of things, but it will also teach you where you are going wrong. For example, if you’re having cheese on toast every morning and realise it has 400 calories, you might decide to have porridge with skimmed milk instead, which would have half the calories.

Don’t deny yourself treats – work them in to your diet in small portions. Make sure you are eating ENOUGH calories. Using the website above, you need to find out how many calories you NEED, then subtract 500 per day to lose 1lb a week. If you starve yourself, your body will store fat because it will think that there is no food available. Strangely enough, you need to eat to lose weight!

Also set yourself a realistic target. It’s not going to drop off in a month. Let’s say you want to lose 2 stone. That’s 28lbs. At 1-2lbs per week, it will take you around 3-6 months to lose the weight. But really, give yourself a year. There are always times that you will lapse or have bad days. Don’t beat yourself up – just start again the next day and get back on track. Every time you lose half a stone, buy yourself a new outfit or give yourself a treat. Keep yourself motivated and don’t rush things.

Don’t skip breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don’t buy junk food – only have healthy snacks to hand. If i’ve got an apple and a cake in my cupboard, I’ll always go for the cake! Jogging, jumping, swimming, skipping and stepping are all great weight-loss exercises. Work-out DVDs can also be good. Davina’s power of 3 is a good one to try!

    Good luck!

First off, the right amount of weight that the average person should hope and try to lose a week when eating and working out correctly is something like 1 or 2 pounds a week. That is a good, healthy, safe, smart, effective amount to lose. That right there is fast weight loss. So if you are losing weight at that speed, then hang on tight, because you are going the maximum weight loss speed limit! Yup, 1 or 2 pounds lost a week. Not as fast as most people would hope for, but sadly, that’s just the way it is. You just can’t lose weight fast, or at least, as fast as many people would like to. Aside from all of the obvious health risks and possible negatives of losing any more than that a week, losing anymore than 1 or 2 pounds a week means you are losing muscle, not fat. As you can guess, that’s not good.

Here are some training and Im not joking. 1 is the easiest to hardest

    1) Light housework
These activities also burn little total calories – around 2-3*calories per minute.

    2) Walking
Walking is said to be one of the best exercises for losing weight. The percentage of fat burning is around the 55% ** mark, however as with all exercises it really depends on the intensity of effort.

    3) Aerobic exercise or light Jogging
Aerobic classes are very popular for many trying to lose weight. They can be very effective in burning a large amount of total energy in a single session. However if a person is overweight and/or unfit the class may become too intense for proper fat burning, especially if the individual is highly motivated to keep up with other, fitter members of the class. For this individual breathing would become heavy and this will always result in carbohydrates becoming the predominant fuel, pushing the percentage of fat burning down as low as 30%

    4) Running (7 minute mile average)
At 7 minute mile running we will burn more than 10 *calories per minute and looking at most runners on the street many may deduce that this must be the best exercise to lose weight. Most runners seem so thin and lean but in fact running at this pace would not be the best idea to lose weight. We would probably be burning about 80% carbohydrates and only 20% ** fat.

    5)Sprinting or weight training
Some of the most intense exercise we can perform. The energy to fuel these activities comes almost exclusively from carbohydrates. The amount of total calories burned is very high whilst performing the movement, however they can only be performed for short periods due to muscle fatigue. Plenty of rest periods are needed between each bout resulting in less total calories burned over the course of a training session. Normally other aerobic exercises are performed continuously for the whole duration of a session therefore total calories burnt are usually much higher. A positive reason to exercise lightly over a longer duration!
