Snaps from the Harbour
Search=Chania real photos
In response to a Toluca Lake, California visitor who came to this site via a Google™ search titled "chania real photos," we grabbed a camera and drove down to Crete's most beautiful city (a.k.a. Chania) and snapped a couple of photos. . . real photos. Real photo searchers can rest assured that ChaniaBeachNews.com provides top quality, dolphin safe and drug-free real photos.

Surprise:
A beautiful work of Cretan folk art exites the senses, I think
Typical : A piece of folk art reacts with astonishment as I snap a photo of her in a Chania Harbour shop called Margeritas.
>> Surprised folk art

Pro-Peace:
Temporary reminders of a democratic society
Original : A Pro-Peace sign near Chania's harbour.
>> No more war, please

Institution:
Long live the sweet, nice and lovable dog
Puppy love : This dog has been living in Chania's harbour for as long as anyone can remember. If you see her, please give her some kind of treat.
>> Please live long, dog

Walk this way:
People walking this way
Proof : This photo proves that human beings can indeed survive in Chania's beautiful and heartwarming environment.
>> normal people in Chania

Surfaced:
Reflected Chania historical buildings
The usual suspects : Vain historical buildings are caught staring at their reflections in tranquil harbour waters.
>> Harbour reflection

Replica Jerseys:
Fake kit dealer, not razor buyer
Fake Kit : This dude is making a mint in the sale of fake football jerseys. And he admits they're fake. He also reads newspapers and accepts money in exchange for fake football jerseys.
>> Give me fake jerseys

Eye protection:
My sunglasses are on the top of my car and are the subject of this photo
Shades of PSA : I placed my sunglasses on the roof of my car in an attempt to illustrate the dangers of placing sunglasses on the roofs of cars during trips to car garages. If you put your sunglasses on the roof of your car during a trip to a car garage, please remember that you put them there. Also, if you're driving to Chania, park in the parking garage underneath the Champion in central Chania. It's cheap and convenient
>> Decor

Hand grenade microphones:
Hand grenade microphones are dangerous
Warning : For the fifth year in a row, this helpful poster warns against using microphones that have built-in hand grenades. If you are using a microphone that has a hand grenade instead of a standard unidirectional pickup, please consult your microphone manufacturer.

Snapshots:

>> Ouzeri host

Cafe Ouzeri 2:
A frappe's eye view of the harbour
Frappe perspective : A delicious medium strength frappe relaxes in the harbour before being slurped up. By the way, we like Cafe Ouzeri.
>> frappe

Flaps:
Pamela looks at me as I snap a photo of her in front of a seafood restaraunt
Chania tourist onslaught flaps : Plastic walls contain a restaraunt, reflect the harbour (and Pamela) and wait for the tourist onslaught due in two months time. These flaps also prevent dust and pigeons from entering the restaraunt.
>> Flaps

City haul:
Chania city hall at the end of a famous busy boulevard
Directing traffic : Chania's city hall directs traffic at the end of a busy boulevard.
>> City hall from the road.

Restored Venetian stairs:
Chania harbour stairway built by Venetians and used by various civilizations since they were built. Restored by modern Cretans.
Pamela presents : Chania's old harbour is full of cool stuff. . . like stairs. You can use stairs to go from one level to the next, or turn right around and go back to the same level you were at. You don't even have to appreciate the breathtakingly historical background of the stairs, why they were built or who built them. That's just crazy!
>> Stairs

Grill House:
Grill house delicious facade! Too delicious!
Eat here : Grill house serves "Sea Food Plate, Pizza and Greek specialties." They also serve really good food. Grill House has good prices, and their seafood is fresh. Plus, the owner isn't my neighbor or friend, so you can trust me that I'm not full of s**t.
>> Grill house

Good dog:
This dog is very talented
Obedience : This dog is very talented. I told her to lay down and hold still for a photo and she did.
>> Relaxing dog

Artisan repository:
Adult reasonable money expenditure machine
Adult toystore : What adult can't justify spending money on something really, really cool? Margaritas is one of many shops in Chania's old harbour offering hand-made arts and crafts reflecting Cretan and Mediterranean culture.
>> Art me up

Sign:
Anti-parking markings in Chania's inner harbour
Parkers beware : Apparently there are some red devils loose in Chania. Hopefully none of them will injure their cloven hooves bumping into cars parked in the harbour. Because it's prohibited to park there.
>> No parking marking

Opel™ Corsa™:
Speeding Opel Corsa
Going to town : A white 1999 Opel™ Corsa™ was seen speeding towards Chania Saturday, March 18, 2006. Occupants were seen holding a camera and taking photographs.
>> Drive.
