In response to a Toluca Lake, California visitor who came to this site via a Google™ search titled "chania real photos," we grabbed a camera and drove down to Crete's most beautiful city (a.k.a. If you put your sunglasses on the roof of your car during a trip to a car garage, please remember that you put them there. Also, if you're driving to Chania, park in the parking garage underneath the Champion in central Chania. It's cheap and convenient

Waiter : We didn't wait long for our waiter (who denies relation to Willem Dafoe) to serve us perfect frappes at the perfectly located Cafe Ouzeri.

Chania tourist onslaught flaps : Plastic walls contain a restaraunt, reflect the harbour (and Pamela) and wait for the tourist onslaught due in two months time. These flaps also prevent dust and pigeons from entering the restaraunt.

Directing traffic : Chania's city hall directs traffic at the end of a busy boulevard.

Restored Venetian stairs:

Pamela presents : Chania's old harbour is full of cool stuff. . . like stairs. You can use stairs to go from one level to the next, or turn right around and go back to the same level you were at. You don't even have to appreciate the breathtakingly historical background of the stairs, why they were built or who built them. That's just crazy!

Grill House:

Eat here : Grill house serves "Sea Food Plate, Pizza and Greek specialties." They also serve really good food. Grill House has good prices, and their seafood is fresh. Plus, the owner isn't my neighbor or friend, so you can trust me that I'm not full of s**t.

Obedience : This dog is very talented. I told her to lay down and hold still for a photo and she did.

Adult toystore : What adult can't justify spending money on something really, really cool? Margaritas is one of many shops in Chania's old harbour offering hand-made arts and crafts reflecting Cretan and Mediterranean culture.

Parkers beware : Apparently there are some red devils loose in Chania. Hopefully none of them will injure their cloven hooves bumping into cars parked in the harbour. Because it's prohibited to park there.
